Measure Implementation

Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation?

Examination of a crime scene is possible in Sweden by sending a request for Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) or an European Investigation Order (EIO). The examination may take place on the same grounds as in a domestic investigation. If a decision on a house search is required in order to carry out the examination the same rules as described in Section A.30 are applicable. The rules on seizure applies also to an EIO on the cordon off a crime scene or a prohibition to enter certain premisses, see Section A.30.
