The certificate should be sent to the relevant court.

Council Framework Decision 2008/947/JHA of 27 November 2008 on the application of the principle of mutual recognition to judgments and probation decisions with a view to the supervision of probation measures and alternative sanctions (Act No. 533/2011 on probation measures).

The competent authority of the Slovak Republic for the recognition and execution of a decision issued by another Member State imposing a criminal sanction not involving a custodial sentence or imposing probation measures is the district court in whose area of jurisdiction the sentenced person has permanent residence or last permanent residence. Otherwise, the competent court is the Municipal Court Bratislava I.

Certificates forwarded to the Slovak judicial authorities must be drawn up in Slovak. In relation with the Czech Republic may be used Czech language.

The court shall decide within 60 working days following the day the decision of the other Member State was received with its certificate, and after the written statement of the public prosecutor is submitted to the judge. If the time limit cannot be complied with, the judge will immediately notify this fact to the issuing authority including the reasons for the delay, and notify the authority of the new time limit for issuing the decision.

The Slovak Republic examines the question of dual criminality only in relation with the crimes which are not included in 32 categories of criminal offences.
