Regional Prosecutor´s Office in the territorial circuit of which the requested person was apprehended or his/her personal freedom was otherwise restricted; if released from apprehension in which the person has his/her residence or is located. The judicial authorities responsible for executing the European arrest warrant in the Slovak Republic are the regional prosecutors' offices and regional courts. Responsibility for instituting proceedings to execute a European arrest warrant always lies with the regional prosecutor as stated above.

Slovak language, Polish language in relation with Republic of Poland, czech in relation with the Czech Republic, german language in relation with Republic of Austria. When Slovakia is the issuing State, on having established the whereabouts of the requested person or after the person’s detention in the territory of another Member State, the Court which has issued the EAW shall forthwith ensure its translation. When Slovakia is the executing State, translations must be received within 18 days of the restrictions of personal liberty. Slovakia accepts transmission of EAW translations via SIS, but it must be supplemented with the original of the translation as soon as possible.

40 days / 60 days for the execution of the EAW, in specific cases the period for EAW execution can be prolonged for another 30 days.
