Measure Implementation

Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation?

The judicial police proceeds with the identification of the person against whom the investigations are carried out and of the persons able to report on circumstances relevant to the reconstruction of the facts. However, only the identification of the person against whom the investigations are carried out can also be executed by carrying out, where necessary, fingerprinting, photographic and anthropometric surveys as well as other investigations. Moreover, if these investigations involve the removal of hair or saliva and the consent of the interested party is lacking, the judicial police proceed with the compulsory withdrawal in respect of the personal dignity of the suspect, subject to written authorization (or made orally and confirmed in writing) of the Public Prosecutor.
