The body of the offense (corpus delicti) and the things pertaining to the crime necessary for ascertaining the facts may be frozen.
When it is not possible or not appropriate to entrust the things seized to the registry of the Judge or the Public Prosecutor for custody, the Judicial Authority arranges for the custody to take place in a different place, determining the manner and appointing a suitable custodian.
