See Section 361. Seizure of a Property of the Criminal Procedure Law

Seizure of a property requested by a European Union Member State in Latvia shall be carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in Regulation No 2018/1805. If the seizure of a property or search is requested by a European Union Member State that is not bound by Regulation No 2018/1805, the seizure of a property or search in Latvia shall be carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in this Chapter on the basis of a procedural ruling on the provision of property for confiscation or on the securing of obtaining evidence issued by the competent authority of the European Union Member State to which a certification is attached.

The Office of the Prosecutor General upon receiving procedural ruling on the provision of property for confiscation or on the securing of obtaining evidence if possible without delay but not later than within 24 hours upon the receipt.

For the seizure of a property or search the permission of an investigating judge shall not be necessary.
