Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation?

Surveillance of an object or a site shall be performed, on the basis of a decision of an investigating judge, if there are grounds to believe that information regarding facts included in circumstances to be proven may be acquired as a result of surveillance.

For receiving request: Up to the commencement of criminal prosecution - the State Police. In the pre-trial proceedings - the Office of the Prosecutor General For execution: Investigating institution according to the competence

Latvian/English (for the execution of urgent request/decision the priority is the Latvian language)

Execution deadline

Deadlines for the execution of the request/decision (where applicable)

A competent authority of Latvia takes a decision to recognise and execute EIO as soon as possible, however not later than within 30 days after receipt of the EIO, if translation is not required. MLA - shall be decided immediately, but not later than within 10 days after receipt thereof. If additional information is necessary for deciding of a request, such information shall be requested from the country that submitted the request.
