Greek, English Under Cyprus law a wanted person can be provisionally arrested and the member state has within 8 days to provide the Greek or the English translation of the EAW. When issuing an EAW, Cyprus follows Annex V “Time limits for the receipt of the EAW following an arrest of the person sought” from the European Handbook on how to issue a EAW (17195/1/10 REV 1). Cyprus accepts transmission of EAW translations via SIS.

Special requirements

Cooperation outside the EU is mainly based on the CoE Convention on Extradition Cyprus allows for surrender also for accessory offences where the offence in question is also an offence in Cyprus and punishable for a maximum period of at least 12 months.
