Yes. A request regarding the exchange of information from criminal records on the basis of an Article 13 of MLA 1959 Convention should only be sent if ECRIS provides no or not sufficient information.

Special requirements

Requests on forwarding of information from the criminal records shall be presented by using the standard form provided under the ECRIS regime.
