On 17 March, the Victims’ European Commission Coordinator for Victims’ Rights of DG JUST organised a High-Level Extended Plenary Meeting of the EU Victims’ Rights Platform in Brussels with the aim to present the revision of the Victims’ Rights Directive as agreed by the EU co-legislators on 10 December 2025 (pending publication), and to discuss the ideas for the next EU Strategy on Victims’ Rights (2026-2030).

On 19 March 2026, the Secretariat of the European Judicial Network took part (online) in an expert meeting on the European Arrest Warrant, organised by the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers in Brussels.

CEPOL, an agency of the European Union dedicated to develop, implement and coordinate training for law enforcement officials, has an open Calls for individual experts | CEPOL (CEPOL-CEI-EE-2024) aimed at setting up a list of external experts from where CEPOL may select the most suitable expert.

On 12 March 2026, the EJN Secretariat organised an online Introductory Meeting with the newly appointed EJN Contact Points from Ukraine.

EL PACCTO 2.0 programme has organised the first Structured Dialogue on Justice and Organised Crime, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from 3 to 4 March 2026.

The 47th Regular Meeting of the EJN took place on 12 February 2026 in The Hague under the Cypriot EJN Presidency, bringing together about 60 EJN Contact Points from EU Member States and EU candidate countries, as well as from EJN associated countries.

The EJN Fiches Belges for Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo have been launched on the EJN website and can now be consulted.

On 15 December, Hugh Dockry, Head of the EJN Secretariat, represented the EJN at the COPEN meeting of the Council of the European Union.

On 10 of December, the European Parliament and the Council reached a political agreement on the Commission proposal for a revision of the Victims’ Rights Directive

On 26 November, the EJN Secretariat welcomed voluntary Tool Correspondents in The Hague with the aim of assisting them to successfully work with the back-office of the EJN website.

On 25 November, Hugh Dockry, Head of the EJN Secretariat, was invited to the CATS meeting of the Council of the European Union and presented the EJN biennial report 2023-2024.

The EJN Secretariat took part in three national roundtables of the EU-funded EMPRO project (“Empowerment of the Framework Decisions 2008/947 and 2009/829 through EU Probation Services”) organised in Belgium on 2 October, France on 27 October, and Romania on 28 October.

On 6 and 7 November, the 65th Plenary Meeting of the European Judicial Network, under the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, took place in Copenhagen with the participation of approximately 150 EJN Contact Points.

The EJN Secretariat is proudly presenting the 8th biennial Report on Activities and Management of the EJN for the years 2023-2024.

With the support and the presence of the EJN Secretariat, a meeting of the Portuguese Contact Points, with a representative from EUROJUST and the presence of national Portuguese Prosecutors took place in Lisboa, at the headquarters of the Prosecutor General’s Office, on October 9th and 10th 2025.
