On Tuesday 16 April, Hugh Dockry and the EJN Secretariat received a delegation from EL PAcCTO 2.0, lead by Mr Javier Samper Orgiles.

The EJN Secretariat had the opportunity to contribute to the study visit undertaken by Moldovan prosecutors to The Hague. Hosted at Eurojust premises on April 9th, this enlightening event brought together 18 dedicated participants eager to deepen their knowledge of international judicial processes and strengthen collaboration in combating transnational crime.

On 10 and 11 April 2024, the EJN Secretariat and the Polish National Prosecutor’s Office organised the annual Legal English Language training for EJN Contact Points in the National School for the Judiciary and Prosecution Service in Lublin, Poland.

On 9 April, the French Contact Points, together with Liaison Magistrates, the Eurojust National Member and a representative of the EJN Secretariat, met in Paris for the National Meeting, organised by the French Ministry of Justice and funded by the EJN.

On 4 April 2024, the 23rd Tool Correspondents’ meeting of the EJN, under the Belgian Presidency, took place at Eurojust premises. The EJN Tool Correspondents are appointed by the EU Member States to update the EJN website tools for their respective countries, reflecting the developments in the national law.

The EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) publishes its report "European Arrest Warrant: Respecting rights across borders”.

On 29.02.2024 the EJN held the 45th EJN Regular meeting in The Hague, chaired by the Belgian EJN Presidency. Approximately 50 EJN Contact Points from the EU and EU candidate/associated countries attended the meeting and exchanged information on latest developments in their national legal framework and case-law related to international judicial cooperation.

On 2nd February 2024, the Secretary to the EJN visited the EU Fundamental Rights Agency. During his visit he met with the Head of Unit and colleagues from the Justice, Digital and Migration Unit of the Agency.

On 1st February 2024, the EJN Secretariat and the WBCJ Project, organized a Joint meeting for the EJN CPs in the Western Balkans and the WBCJ Contact Group Members.

On 26 January 2024, the meeting of the new EJN Contact Points took place online. More than 40 EJN Contact Points who have recently joined the Network got the opportunity to learn how the EJN works in practice and how they can contribute to the facilitation of the judicial cooperation in their new role.

On 14 December 2023, the Tool Correspondents’ training took place in Eurojust’s premises. Guided by the web team and Bilbomatica, Tool Correspondents learnt how to work on the three tools in the back-office of the EJN website.

On 11 December 2023, the new version of the EJN website was launched. It includes the new section dedicated to the cooperation with partners and networks, My EJN profile information, updated Contact Points tool, as well as small updates in Atlas and Compendium to make these tools more user friendly. This deployment also includes the renewed EJN Reporting Tool.

On 17 November 2023 the European Commission released a new edition of the Handbook on how to issue and execute a European Arrest Warrant (EAW). The Handbook has been published on the EJN website and can be consulted in the Judicial Library section

The meeting took place from 7 to 9 November 2023 in Madrid, under the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU, with the participation of approximately 130 EJN Contact Points.

The 3rd Regional Meeting of Contact Points of the EJN was held in Warsaw on 9 and 10 October 2023. The meeting was attended by contact points from the National Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Justice, regional and circuit prosecutor's offices as well as invited foreign guests.

On 4 October 2023, the 15th National Correspondents’ meeting of the European Judicial Network (EJN), under the Spanish Presidency, took place at Eurojust premises.
