Council Framework Decision 2008/947/JHA of 27 November 2008 on the application of the principle of mutual recognition to judgments and probation decisions with a view to the supervision of probation measures and alternative sanctions

Competent Authority

* receive the request/decision for judicial cooperation

District Courts having jurisdiction over the person’s residence. In case that the sentenced person is subject to a national proceeding, competence to receive and decide lies to court ruling on the case. Supervision of compliance with the probation measures or alternative sanction falls under the competence of the probation service of the district court.

The overall length of the procedure for recognizing the foreign court decision shall be of maximum 60 days after the receipt of the request.
