On 28-30 May 2025, the 32nd General Assembly of the Ibero-American Association of Public Prosecutors (AIAMP) was held at the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in Madrid with the financial assistance of the EL PACCTO 2.0 program and the FIAP.
The Attorney General of the State, Mr Álvaro García Ortiz, in his dual capacity as Secretary General of AIAMP and Attorney General of the Kingdom of Spain, opened the two-day General Assembly, which was held under the motto "For a more just and secure society,". The current president of AIAMP, Mr Eduardo E. Casal, Attorney General of Argentina, highlighted the central role played by the Prosecutors' Offices in the framework of the challenge posed by international crime. The Secretary to the EJN, Mr Hugh Dockry, attended the event together with the EJN Secretariat Coordinator.
During this meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AIAMP and the EJN.
