Meeting with Ireland’s New Secretary General for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration

On Tuesday 19 May, Hugh Dockry, Head of the EJN Secretariat, met in Dublin, Ireland, with the newly appointed Secretary General of the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration, Mr. O’Sullivan.


The aim of the meeting was to discuss the functioning and resources of the EJN in Ireland, the forthcoming Irish Presidency, including the Eurojust Regulation, and the upcoming EJN Plenary meeting taking place in Ireland in November.


The Secretary General updated Hugh on Ireland’s establishment of an independent agency for Criminal Justice International Cooperation, operating under the aegis of the Department and created specifically to ensure that Ireland is fully prepared to implement the e-Evidence package.


Hugh also got the opportunity to offer the Secretary General the EJN biennial Report 2023-2024.
