25th Tool Correspondents’ Meeting

The 25th Tool Correspondents’ Meeting of the EJN, under the Cyprus Presidency, was held on 1 April 2026 at Eurojust premises.

On this occasion, the EJN Secretariat updated the Tool Correspondents on the state of play of the EJN website projects, Phase II, covering the Library, the Registry and the Reporting Tool, the latter being used for collecting data and reporting EJN cases and the use of particular instruments. Besides that, the participants were informed of the developments regarding the E-Evidence package and its impact on the e-tools (Atlas, Fiches Belges…) of the EJN website. They were also notified on the updates of the Fiches Belges, the planned developments for e-tools and the organisational support for the EJN website.

During a tour de table, the Tool Correspondents, who are appointed by their Member States, provided updates on the recent amendments which they have made to the various website sections and e-tools, reflecting the developments in the national law of their respective countries. As always, this meeting provided an excellent opportunity for feedback from the Tool Correspondents to the EJN Secretariat.

In the two practical parallel sessions of the meeting, newly appointed Tool Correspondents learned the basics of the back office and how to update the EJN Contact Points’ list tool, whilst experienced Tool Correspondents worked on solving issues encountered in the back-office of the EJN website. Many thanks to Eurojust’s Webmaster and our contractor Biblomatica for attending and assisting with the meeting.
