On 31 May and 1 June, Spain, Portugal and Andorra took part in the Regional Meeting of the European Judicial Network (EJN) to exchange experiences in the fight against transnational crimes.

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) hosted a working conference attended by prosecutors and judges from the three countries that are the contact point of the EJN, as well as members of the Spanish and Portuguese Asset Recovery Offices, and representatives of the Spanish and Andorran Ministries of Justice.

A group of Portuguese and Andorran prosecutors specialized in international cooperation have shared with their Spanish colleagues best practices for improving international cooperation instruments and strengthening the ties that bind the transnational prosecution.

The International Cooperation Unit of the AGO, directed by Mr. Francisco Jiménez-Villarejo, has organized this Regional Meeting within the framework of the EJN/REG-NAT/2023/02 grant program of the EJN. In November, Madrid will host the Plenary Meeting of the EJN.
