On 12 April, the 5th meeting between the EJN Contact Points, EU Member States and the Western Balkans (WB), co-organised by the IPA2019 project, was organised in Budva, Montenegro. The meeting was opened by the Ministers of Justice of Montenegro and Serbia and focussed on: the challenges and solutions in Trafficking Human Beings investigations between the EU and WB countries, obtaining evidence from encrypted channels, and updates from the partners, namely the Center of International Legal Cooperation (CILC), the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC) and CRIMJust. The meeting continued by presenting a state of play of the EJN in the WB to the about 40 participants.

This meeting has been preceded the day before by the Regional Meeting of the Western Balkans, which also took place under the WB IPA 2019 project.
