The Guidelines on the structure and functioning of the EJN as well as the Guidelines on the meetings of the EJN have been revised and adopted.

As discussed at the 7th National Correspondents meeting of the EJN on 7 October 2015 and confirmed at the 37th Regular meeting of the EJN on 16 February 2016, the EJN Trio Presidency working method has been replaced by an EJN Presidency Board working method.

The EJN Presidency Board working method is more dynamic, forward-looking and brings on-board the incoming presidencies at an earlier stage, than the former Trio Presidency working method. The EJN Presidency Board consists of the former presidency, the current presidency and the two incoming presidencies. It is changing every half year with one presidency leaving and an incoming presidency joining.

Other amendments in the Guidelines on the structure and functioning of the EJN include new threshold for allocation between budget lines and an updated description of the budget cycle. In addition to the amended working method, clarifications were made in the Guidelines on the meetings of the EJN, in order to comply with the practical organisation and financing of the EJN meetings.
