It was the final plenary meeting after a period of 18 months of a comparative study.

The focus of the analysis was on the surrender of nationals and residents between the EU Member States for the enforcement of sentences.

Judges, prosecutors, academics, legal advisors from the Ministry of Justice and the European Commission participated in the meeting.

All in all, 35 delegates of 16 EU Member States gathered at the Prosecutor’s Office Amsterdam.

This project was funded by the Justice Programme of the European Union.

The research report will be sent to the European Commission before the end of this year and is to be published on the EJN website.
