This handbook is the outcome of fruitful discussions in Experts’ meetings organised by the Commission in the past years. It contains up-to-date information, including recent case law of the Court of Justice of the EU.
The European Judicial Network has been actively involved in drafting this handbook, together with the Member States and the Commission. The EJN and its tools are mentioned in the Handbook on several occasions as means to support the Member States’ judicial authorities in issuing and executing an EAW.
The handbook was published on the European e-Justice Portal and the Official Journal of the European Union in the beginning of October, and it is also available on the EJN website in the Judicial Library.
