Poland organised the 2nd Regional and 9th National Meeting of the Contact Points of the European Judicial Network on 1 and 2 October 2018 in Warsaw, at the premises of the National Prosecutor’s Office.

Apart from the Polish Contact Points representing the National Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice and 10 regional prosecutors’ offices, representatives of the EJN from the neighbouring countries, i.e. Germany, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and Sweden, but also Austria, Latvia and the Netherlands attended the meeting. The Secretariat of the EJN in The Hague was represented by Mr Ola Löfgren.

On the agenda of the meeting there were two topics, one regarding the European Investigation Order in criminal matters (EIO) in the context of an added value of a new model of cooperation between EU Member States, and the second one devoted to execution of freezing orders with a view of confiscation, with a special focus on orders concerning real estate.

The meeting became a good platform for direct exchange of opinions, comments and good practice between the practitioners – Contact Points of the EJN.
