You want to know more about the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO)? There is a new website eppo-lex.eu, which has been set up as a private initiative. It is intended to make available different types of legal documents concerning the EPPO and to help the user find the way through the complex legal framework for the operation of the EPPO. The core of the website is an „Annotated Regulation“, i.e. the EPPO Regulation (Council Regulation (EU) 2017/1939), with „links“ to other relevant legal documents such as other EU legal instruments, EPPO College Decisions, CJEU Decisions etc. The website also contains an „EPPO Atlas“ with country specific information such as implementing legislation of the Member States, the notifications required under Art. 117 EPPO-Reg as well as Working Arrangements between the EPPO and individual national authorities. The Atlas is still work in progress and further national legal documents will be uploaded as they come in.

For users who are looking for general information about this new EU judicial authority, the website contains an Introduction to the EPPO, the text of which is an updated version of the Introduction to the EPPO Commentary published by Herrnfeld/Brodowski/Burchard in 2021. Finally, eppo-lex.eu also contains a curated bibliography on legal literature concerning the EPPO. The website editors would appreciate any suggestions for amendments or improvements of the website to be sent to editor@eppo-lex.eu.
