What are the most important developments?

In this Newsletter, you will find information about the adopted texts and the on-going negotiations. Are notably included the adoption of the directive on the protection of persons reporting on breaches of Union law (whistleblowers), as well as the progresses in the negotiations on the proposal on preventing the dissemination of terrorist content online and the two proposals on e-evidence.

Numerous judgments of the Court of Justice of the EU are reported, including the recent cases on the European Arrest Warrant and the requirement of independence to be fulfilled.

As usual, information on publications and upcoming events relevant to EU criminal law are included. Of particular interest, is the opening of a vacancy for the position of ECLAN Contact Point for Italy. The deadline to apply is 31 March 2020 and more information is available in the Newsletter.
