What are the most important developments?

In this Newsletter, you will find information about the proposals of EU legal instruments currently being  discussed. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, no significant legislative changes have been recorded during the period January-June 2020 in the area of EU Criminal Law.

Several judgments of the Court of Justice of the EU are reported, including a judgment defining the obligations of a Member State in the case of a request of extradition from a third country targeting a national of an EFTA State.

As in previous editions, it encompasses information on publications and upcoming events relevant to EU criminal law, including online events. Please note that due to the global pandemic, physical events may be subject to changes. Keep up to date on our website.

Of particular interest is the opening of a vacancy for the position of ECLAN Contact Points both for France and Greece. The deadline for application is 15 September 2020. More information is available in the Newsletter.

Many thanks for your continued interest and support to the activities of ECLAN!
