ECLAN Newsletter - Latest developments in EU criminal law (January - June 2019)

The ECLAN Newsletter aims at keeping you at pace with developments in the field of European Criminal law. It is divided into three sections: 1) Legislation; 2) Case law; 3) Academic Activities.

What are the most important developments?

In this Newsletter, you will find information about the adopted texts, the on-going negotiations, and the new legislative files. Are notably included the progresses in the negotiations on the proposal on preventing the dissemination of terrorist content online, the proposal on the protection of persons reporting on breaches of Union law (whistleblowers), and the two proposals on e-evidence.

The following judgments of the Court of Justice of the EU are reported: ET (C-97/18), Dzivev (C-310/16), TC (C-492/18 PPU), RH (C-8/19), OG and PI (joined cases C-508/18 and C-82/19 PPU), PF (C-509/18), Moro (C-646/17), and Poplawski II (C-573/17).

As usual, information on publications and upcoming events relevant to EU criminal law are included. A vacancy for the position of ECLAN Contact Point for Greece is open, and more information is available in the Newsletter.
