Frequently Asked Questions

How is the EJN organized?

The EJN is composed of a number of contact points and the Secretariat. Each Member State appoints one or more contact points coming from the central authority responsible for international judicial co-operation, as well as judicial and prosecution authorities working in this field. All of them are experts that continue working on the spot. There are also some contact points appointed by the European Commission in the areas falling within its sphere of competence. For further information: “About EJN” The EJN Secretariat forms part of the Eurojust Secretariat, in The Hague, but functioning as a separate unit and carrying out its tasks with full autonomy.
