Council of Europe Convention (1972): European Convention on the Transfer of Proceedings in Criminal Matters. Convention of 29 May 2000 on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States of the European Union European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters of 1959 ( art 21)

3. COMPETENT AUTHORITY TO:

Spania

* receive the request/decision for judicial cooperation

Ministry of Justice in case that CoE Convention of 1972. Public Prosecutor or Investigation Judge in case the 2000 Convention or CoE Convention of 1959

* execute/recognise the measure (if other than the receiving authority)

Public Prosecutor Service or Investigating Judge or Central Investigating Judge in case the use or 2000 Convention or CoE Convention of 1959. Criminal Court of the National Audience in case the CoE Convention of 1972.
