The Confederation of European Probation (CEP), founded in 1981, promotes the use of community sanctions and measures, such as probation, community service, mediation and conciliation, on a national and European level. Moreover, CEP organises conferences on current issues in probation, promoting cooperation and the exchange of knowledge across Europe.
CEP has 101 members from 43 European countries. It is composed of organisations working in the field of probation, and other interested individuals, such as practitioners, academics and others working in the field of probation.
