The Sahel Network of Practitioners Working on Preventing Violent Extremism (SAHEL-PVE Network), launched in October 2024, is a regional platform that strengthens cooperation between local government and civil society actors. The network covers part of the Sahel region. Its members are: Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.

Focusing in particular on local youth, the network is aimed at the prevention of violent extremism. This is done by, among other means, focusing on strategic communication to prevent and address violent extremist narratives, in the offline and online space. This youth-focused strategy is necessary, as it was found that the reach of extremist groups has expanded significantly by the use of means such as local radio and social media.
