(b) There is no separate legislation covering observation carried out by the police. This activity is covered by Police Law 73(I)/2004, article 24, which empowers police officers to prevent the commission of offences and public nuisances, to detect and bring offenders to justice and to apprehend all persons whom they are lawfully authorized to apprehend and for whom a sufficient ground exists for apprehension.
