Sending and service of procedural documents (406) 1. MEASURE IMPLEMENTATION |
Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation? | Yes, it is possible. Procedural documents may be sent directly by the foreign authority to the person concerned by post as registered mail.
Procedural documents may only be delivered through the judicial authorities of Hungary as a service of process in the frame of mutual legal assistance, if: (a) the address of the addressee is not known; or b) it was not possible to serve the document by post; or c) there are justified reasons for considering that delivery by post will be ineffective or is inappropriate.

Accepted languages for the request/decision | A translation of the request for assistance and documents annexed thereto into either Hungarian, or any of the official languages of the Council of Europe, will be required, if they are not drawn up in these languages. |
