However, they cannot be compelled to answer questions and may invoke the right not to answer questions on the grounds of self incrimination under s. 64 of the 2008 Act. The Irish Police can approach the suspect to answer questions voluntarily under caution. They cannot be compelled to answer questions and the Central Authority cannot provide legal aid |
