Hearing of a witness by video conference can be applied when the witness can not come to the pre-trial investigation officer, prosecutor or court and testify directly, or in cases when the identification of the witness can not be discovered to public. 3. COMPETENT AUTHORITY TO: |
* receive the request/decision for judicial cooperation | "Under the Convention of 29 May 2000 on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States of the European Union Requests shall be transmitted directly to the competent judicial authorities with territorial competence for executing them - the District courts at the trial stage, Prosecutor's offices at the pre-trial stage. The Ministry of Justice and the Prosecutor General's Office in every concrete case shall help to determine which judicial authority has territorial competence to provide mutual assistance.
