Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation?

Yes, it is. A letter of request is not required, but in case the provided information will be used as evidence before the court, permission has to be required through a formal letter of request. Spontaneous exchange of information through Police channels is allowed.

- The Schengen Agreement (19 June 1990) - The EU Convention on Mutual Assistance in criminal matters between the member states of the European Union (29 May 2000), article 7. - COUNCIL FRAMEWORK DECISION 2006/960/JHA of 18 December 2006 on simplifying the exchange of information and intelligence between law enforcement authorities of the Member States of the European Union

3. COMPETENT AUTHORITY TO:

* receive the request/decision for judicial cooperation

The competent authorities are the regional International Legal Assistance Centres (the IRCs) and the National Legal Assistance Centre (LIRC). A special public prosecutor authorised to deal with criminal intelligence information.

* execute/recognise the measure (if other than the receiving authority)

The police is competent to execute the measure. A special public prosecutor will be involved by the police.
