The Criminal Police (Polícia Judiciária) is responsible for receiving the notifications indicated in art.º 20.º of the Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between Member States of the European Union; it shall thereupon submit the requests to the criminal examining judge of Lisbon for the purposes of art.º 20.º n.4 of the Convention.
