See the remarks at measure 704, "hearing witnesses by telephone". The presence of the suspect / accused person at the same location as the interviewer is preferred. The request will be submitted by the public prosecutor to the Minister of Justice for approval as these methods have not yet been laid down in legislation or a convention. Also possible are written statements; mostly used in traffic violations.
