Yes, it is possible. It can also be a police cooperation measure. This measure is specifically regulated by Law 13/2010, on the transposition of Framework Decision 2006/960/JHA, of December 28, 2006.

Convention of 29 May 2000 on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters between the Member States of the European Union and other conventions in the framework of UN and CoE, which specifcally deal with the spontaneous exchange of information .
