* receive the request/decision for judicial cooperation | Competent authorities will in most cases be one of the three International Public Prosecution Offices-Stockholm, Gothenburg or Malmoe- depending on where a suspect is residing . There are no rules of means of communication; that is, an MLA can be transferred by letter, fax, or e-mail. The Police or the Swedish Customs Service or the Swedish Coast Guard could, under certain conditions be competent authority, depending on the nature of the JIT and for what purpose it is set up. It can be assumed that the Prosecutor is the competent authority if the JIT is set up to collect evidence. | * execute/recognise the measure (if other than the receiving authority) | N/A |
