If afterwards it is discovered that the vehicle has been on Belgian territory (analysing of the beeper data), it is possible to request afterwards the authorisation to use the data in the criminal investigation of the requesting state. The letter of request has to be sent to the local public prosecutor of the place of entry on the Belgian territory or to the federal prosecutor if this area is not known as soon as the presence of the vehicle on the Belgian territory has been discovered .
