Cross-border observation (801) 1. MEASURE IMPLEMENTATION |
Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation? | Yes, this measure allows for a foreign law enforcement officer who is carrying out relevant surveillance outside the UK which is lawful on that territory, to carry out surveillance inside the UK, in an instance where it is not practicable for a UK officer to carry out the surveillance.
Such requests can be executed via police co-operation
This measure has limits in terms of the carrying of firearms and the distance within the UK officers can travel.

Requests should be submitted to the UK International Crime Bureau (INTERPOL, Europol and SIRENE).

4. ACCEPTED LANGUAGES |
Accepted languages for the request/decision | Where possible requests should be provided in English. If it is not possible to provide an English translation the UK International Crime Bureau (INTERPOL, Europol & SIRENE) may be able to provide a full or partial translation of the request. The languages covered on a full-time basis are French and Spanish. |
