Is this measure possible in your Member State under International Judicial Cooperation?

Police records can be asked for by the police channels. Criminal Records contain information on a subject's convictions and pending criminal proceedings and must be requested through formal mutual legal assistance requests.

2. LEGAL FRAMEWORK

International legal framework applicable for this measure in your Member State

- The Schengen Implementation Convention - The Convention of the European Union - Regarding criminal records: the Netherlands have implemented the Framework Decision 2009/315 (ECRIS) of 26 February 2009. - Regarding police records: the Framework Decision 2006/960/JHA of 18 December 2006 on simplifying the exchange of information and intelligence between law enforcement authorities of the Member States of the European Union.

The competent authorities are the regional International Legal Assistance Centres (the IRCs) and the National Legal Assistance Centre (LIRC).
